The Yoga Tree
The Yoga Tree accommodates all levels of yoga expertise. Additionally, beginning yogis can take advantage of the center’s six-class intro series for Hatha or Vinyasa yoga, while more advanced yoga students can become certified instructors through an extensive teacher training program. The studio mixes it up on Friday nights, offering restorative yoga; a session on “psychic sleep” or Yoga Nidra; meditative yoga; and live music later in the evening. 8 Limbs Yoga
With three locations in the Seattle metro and constantly changing classes, 8 Limbs Yoga challenges yoga exercisers to explore their many options. All the primary yoga disciplines are represented, and there are also individual classes for pre- and post-natal exercise; yoga for kids and teens; advanced learning such as Yoga Nidra and Yoga Sutra; and special meditative and singing programs. The center also has a boutique, well-stocked with yoga gear and yoga apparel.

Seattle Yoga Arts
Seattle Yoga Arts is led by Denise Benitez, an instructor with 20 years experience. Her studio specializes in Anusara yoga, which combines a playful attitude with defined alignment and “mindful intention.” Seattle Yoga Arts offers community practice as well, in which the facilities are opened up to anyone needing a little yoga space, and numerous workshops. 109 15th Ave. East, Seattle, WA 98112 (206) 440-3191.
Two Dogs Yoga
Students new to Two Dogs Yoga can receive their first class free – a great way to sample the studio’s amenities. All levels of experience are welcome here, and students may choose to participate in gentle yoga and more in-depth yoga education. The studio’s diverse atmosphere also includes voice workshops and art exhibitions, and a variety of yoga retreats are scheduled throughout the year. Northwest Community Yoga
Northwest Community Yoga was created with the intent of drawing the Seattle communities of Ballard, Phinney and Greenwood “together in a positive way.” The center features eight instructors teaching various stages of Hatha yoga practice as well as yoga Pilates. 701 NW 70th St., Seattle, WA 98117 (206) 706-4727.
Seattle Holistic Center
At the Holistic Center, yoga practitioners expand beyond the physical, “using the complete science of yoga- from postures and breath awareness, to self-study and meditation to help regain balance and inner peace.” The center caters to all levels of fitness and yoga experience. Exercise programs Tai Chi, Aikido and Qi Gong are also offered.
