Kansas City Yoga Studios
Kansas Siddhi Yoga

While Gina Caputo, the owner and director of Kansas Siddi Yoga, understands that it is important to be serious about practicing yoga, there's no need to be solemn about it. The studio teaches Vinyasa, a form of Hatha yoga.
Kansas Siddhi Yoga offers classes that range in length from 60-to-75 minutes in Vinyasa Flow Yoga, breaking it down into basics, Luna Flow (gentle Yoga with guided meditation), and Solar Flow. The first class of the day begins at 9:30 a.m. and the last class of the day begins at 7:35 p.m. There are three teachers, all female, and all are certified yoga instructors.
Maya Yoga
Maya Yoga is located at 215 W. 18th St. Suite 205 Kansas City, MO 64108 and their phone number is (816) 679-1053. First class now starts at 6:15am and the last class is at 6pm. Maya Yoga specializes in Ashtanga Yoga. According to Kathleen Kastner, the founder and owner, this yoga path is the "most effective form of exercise and physical therapy."
This studio offers an introduction to Ashtanga, the Ashtanga primary series, and Vinyasa classes. The first class of the day begins at 8:30 a.m. and the last class of the day begins at 6 p.m. Maya Yoga has 11 teachers, both male and female.
Yoga Barn of South Kansas City
Yoga Barn of South Kansas City is located at 4300 E. 113th in Kansas City, MO and their phone number is (816) 966-9659. The Yoga Barn offers classes in Hatha Yoga, taught by Yoga Alliance-certified Debbie Borel. Beautiful surroundings, a friendly atmosphere, and a dedicated teacher are all part of the studio's commitment to their practitioners.
Yoga Barn offers classes in Hatha yoga, both to groups and individuals. Individual classes are scheduled with Borel directly. The first class of the day begins at 10:30 a.m. and the last class of the day begins at 6 p.m. Borel is the only teacher at Yoga Barn.
Contemplative Creations
Tom Jacobs of Contemplative Creations has been teaching yoga since 1988. He offers classes at community centers, churches, hospitals, and health clubs. Jacobs believes that yoga can be used to reduce stress and build a bridge across the challenges of daily living.
Jacobs currently teaches Hatha Yoga on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings at various locations, but his schedule does change, so be sure to check his Web site if you're interested in attending any of his classes.
Body and Soul of Kansas City
Body and Soul of Kansas City is located at 649 East 59th St. in Kansas City, MO and their phone number is 816-363-8282. Body and Soul offers yoga at levels I and II, Power yoga, and pre- and post-natal yoga classes, all taught by owner and director Barbara Anderson, a Yoga Alliance- certified teacher.
Body and Soul offers 60-to-75 minute yoga classes. The first class of the day begins at 9 a.m. and the last class of the day begins at 7:30 p.m. Anderson is the only teacher at Body and Soul.
